Idea Hub: A core team whose specific job is to ensure that the best content ideas in the Television space are with us, whether emerging intrinsically, or being evolved externally. This involves a multi-pronged approach which will involve:&lt;br /&gt;-          Clearly defining what the Channel content objectives are, assessing specifically which TAG is the epicenter of our programming, and additionally, if we want to target any niche segments through special interest programming.&lt;br /&gt;-          Redefining Assessment metrics for evaluation of any submitted ideas/pilots by outside agencies, keeping in mind our Channel Content Objectives.&lt;br /&gt;-          Developing in house capability for creating novel themes/formats for both fiction and nonfiction genres, as complete reliance on outside agencies for content ideas is not the best strategy. Also, be open to joining hands with unconventional sources for content creation.&lt;br /&gt;-          Initiating Strategic Partnerships with the best creative/media schools in the country, like MICA, FTII through case study competitions, white papers, internships etc. to leverage the new ideas that emerge from these sources. Initiate → sustain → drive → leverage this partnership.&lt;br /&gt;-          Make content innovation open source, but defining who the participants can be. This can be an online platform, where we selectively offer memberships to qualified professionals from across the globe to participate in the content ideation process. Keeping this separate at all times from the actual programming strategies being followed internally.&lt;br /&gt;-          R&amp;amp;D to create new sources for content, commissioned content etc.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2. Competition analysis: In a highly dynamic &amp;amp; competitive space like television, it is critical to have a clear assessment of all actions of the key competitors, and what the source of their competitive advantage is. The following questions may help towards defining how we should effectively counter competitive moves of another GEC:&lt;br /&gt;-          What are the key drivers for their growth?  -  Example: Big Budget reality shows in case of Colors, as a launch strategy.&lt;br /&gt;-          Is their growth a direct result of our weaknesses, or are they really doing something different?&lt;br /&gt;-          Is our content a reflection of the changing social/cultural mindsets of the audience? Are we as progressive as the audience that we want to talk to?&lt;br /&gt;-          Is their competitive advantage sustainable? If yes, how can we counter and neutralize it?&lt;br /&gt;-          How can we create sustainable competitive advantage for our channel, which others cannot imitate? – A thought: create in-house formats for innovative shows, which legally cannot be imitated by others, be the first mover in locking &amp;amp; securing the best content ideas before others reach them.&lt;br /&gt;-          How do we come up with new/game changing strategies? – A thought: Star Player is a great initiative, as integrated media is finding increasing resonance with the audiences, but how do we monetize it? And how do we leverage it to make it a competitive advantage?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;3.  Programming: I am not a proponent of the current system of Lowest Common Denominator Programming, and of trying to create a mass appeal using stereotypical genres. I strongly believe that though an in depth understanding of the Targeted Audience group’s tastes and preferences is the key to successful content, trying to create content by second guessing their preferences is not. Audiences like to be pleasantly surprised, and would certainly enjoy content that is fresh, in previously unseen or uncommon genres, and with an unusual perspective on usual things. Some thoughts on this:&lt;br /&gt;-          Once we clear the short listing phase for content ideas, we should do a storyboard/concept test with focus groups/sample groups and gauge their reactions. Also, a mechanism has to be formulated where the final content decision is based on multiple key attributes with assigned weights, such as our programming needs, competitive landscape, attraction for advertisers, and most importantly, resonance with the TAG.&lt;br /&gt;-          Even the best conceptual idea is after all, a concept. The key lies in how well we can execute this on screen, and how well it will come across to the audience. More diligence is required here, for a lot of brilliant ideas lose their punch between the storyboard and the screen.&lt;br /&gt;-          Yuppies - Young, Urban, Upwardly Mobile Professionals &amp;amp; DINKS - Double income no kids: Where is the content for these guys? These educated professionals, residing in urban India, are finding less and less resonance with TV, and are difficult to ignore for a programmer because they are target consumer groups for a lot of advertisers, and thus  an important segment for us as a prime advertising medium to cater to. This needs to be looked into.&lt;br /&gt;-          Finally, a thought that will be called faffy in MBA Jargon J. Why do we need to segment every time? Entertainment can be universal, as is proved universally by the film industry with offerings like 3 idiots and the Munnabhai Series. Why can we not create content with a universal appeal across demographic segments? Say, if a show was to be made on Chetan Bhagat’s Two States, the story would start with a young boy’s struggle to get into an IIM - his success, his life at the IIM. It would have all elements such as humor, struggle, human interest, and insecurities, which would appeal to a number of different segments. The story then shifts to his struggle to convince his family and his girlfriend’s family, which belong to completely different cultures of their decision to marry. This would find resonance with both northern and southern audiences, and will have all elements of human interest. The point is, that it is possible to create interesting shows that will have a mass appeal, and help us delight our audience household as a family!&lt;br /&gt;-          Say we created a slot at 11.30, to showcase the best short films made by students of the best film schools in India, with 45 mins for the films, and 15 mins for the chat with the directors, would you watch this show? This idea can be extended further, by tying up with an FMCG sponsor like Pepsi, which is always looking for newer concepts that can be teamed with their brand ‘Youngistaan’. Good school -&gt; Good College -&gt; Good Score -&gt; Good MBA -&gt; Good Job?&lt;br /&gt;-Everybody wants to so different things, but with the similar people, mindsets and procedures. How will it be different then. Your Mind is the biggest framework.&lt;br /&gt;- iPAD is a great device. Tell me one feature that is new. ONE. Yet somebody was smart enough to say that if a am gonna carry a ebook reader, why not remix it, and hence the apple iPAD. I refuse to believe nobody while designing Kindle thought of  this. I refuse to believe they were heard. thats it.&lt;br /&gt;-On that thought, apple did not make the first laptop, phone, or music player, neither are they the first to make the reader-tablet thingy, yet, each and everytime, they enter the game late and screw the incumbents. How? Think about it.&lt;br /&gt;-Screw structured thinking. Screw Frameworks. What do you think? Do you think?&lt;br /&gt;- Being a niche player has its advantages. I on the other hand feel i have done more work in the last 2 terms than in the first four. Other aspects, than the studies itself contribute more to this load i think. Maybe realizations leading to your true path dawns only after half the journey. maybe &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_1" class="blsp-spelling-corrected"&gt;that's&lt;/span&gt; the case with me.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Biggest share of my &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_2" class="blsp-spelling-error"&gt;mindspace&lt;/span&gt; is consumed by the simple question of the direction I want to head into hereon. Do i experiment? As always, or head onto my (initially) chalked out path, or go the traditional way.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Define - structure - analyze - synthesize - lol... or die trying..&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I am told i have a unstructured thought process, i wonder if its a bad thing?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;How will a new way emerge if we keep on doing things traditionally?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;ISB Day Fashion Show rocked. If you are at peace with yourself and your life at the end of the day, thats it.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;The legendary 4P's of marketing don't apply to media, there is no price/place releveance, its the promotion and product all the way, in Films especially.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Don't apply frameworks in solving everything, at times an unstructured mind is the best framework. I am still firm on my belief of &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_2" class="blsp-spelling-error"&gt;ISB&lt;/span&gt; being the best, especially in the ideology behind the entity, and &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_3" class="blsp-spelling-corrected"&gt;that's&lt;/span&gt; good.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Celebrated my birthday last week, and had an amazing time, despite 3 exams, two on the &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_4" class="blsp-spelling-error"&gt;burrday&lt;/span&gt; itself, because of my amazing friends here, especially one. Thank you &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_5" class="blsp-spelling-error"&gt;Pupsy&lt;/span&gt;!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Have changed/evolved ( &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_6" class="blsp-spelling-error"&gt;lol&lt;/span&gt;..) somewhat i think, people say i am calmer, and i feel older for some reason, and &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_7" class="blsp-spelling-corrected"&gt;that's&lt;/span&gt; kinda good as well.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_8" class="blsp-spelling-corrected"&gt;learning's&lt;/span&gt; in creative arts continue, and am pursuing photography passionately, have &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_9" class="blsp-spelling-corrected"&gt;acquired&lt;/span&gt; more equipment, and enjoy experimenting with it, it is true what they say about the spotlights, that the inner soul is laid bare, i experienced it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Met some really amazing people by virtue of being here, and one common &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_10" class="blsp-spelling-corrected"&gt;characteristic&lt;/span&gt; in all of them, clarity of thought. Feel a crazy kinship with the mythical devdas .wonder why?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My last 3 weeks in pune .Then hyderabad.Somehow mixed feelings .Not as excited as i thought i would be.wonder why?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have taken up photography.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I hope to get the clutter in my mind sorted in the next 3 weeks.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I don't like the ending of Dev D , the way the screenplay was shaping , AK could have handled it better.I have gone through the exact same mental frame.One incident just does'nt make u normal post that.Takes time.Wat the fuck is normal anyway?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I am extremely amused to see the reaction of people from my school when they hear i am joining ISB. I was blacklisted for assault , indiscipline among other things , and then i failed .I am happy about that phase and i am happy about this one.Its just a question of what you want out of your life , deep down. As long as i am not doing anything that is illegal , according to the law of this country  , or directly &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_8"&gt;detrimental&lt;/span&gt; to the society ,no one has the right to come and interfere with my freedom , of expressing myself, or living my life.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I , fortunately or unfortunately , personally know quite a few member's of this so called moral police, and upon interactions , have realized that very few of them are clear about what exactly they are safeguarding , and even fewer have the intellectual ability to understand that they are ways and means to forward the vote banks politics.Consider this case , there is a guy &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_9"&gt;champak&lt;/span&gt; &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_10"&gt;bhoomiya&lt;/span&gt; in your college , he your typical young chap , impressionable , interested in women , wants attention etc.etc , but his reality , of his social and economic circumstances &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_11"&gt;does'nt&lt;/span&gt; allow him to indulge , or even be a part of the social scene , or be 'happening' , this leads to this kind of a social frustration , and it is this feeling which is harnessed by the moral police recruitment board. Being a part of say &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_12"&gt;XYZ&lt;/span&gt; SENA , firstly Mr. &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_13"&gt;Champak&lt;/span&gt; feels worthy , secondly he is getting to went out his anger , thirdly , of course, the much desired attention.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This is at the micro level , at the next level , further up the chain of command , we have our local history &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_14"&gt;sheeter's&lt;/span&gt; , who gets a certain social status , and a &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_15"&gt;lil&lt;/span&gt; bit of police immunity to practice his &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_16"&gt;bhaigiri&lt;/span&gt;.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In this whole system , or ecosystem as one can say , both culture and &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_17"&gt;morality&lt;/span&gt; are lost somewhere , another question is that how come its just one day out of the year that it is against the &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_18"&gt;Indian&lt;/span&gt; culture to give a rose to a girl , or go out with her , and where are these fucker's when someone is harassing a woman?Or other days of the year . Its kinda funny how his getting married has sobered down my whole  group in general...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Santa , who was telling me about 2 months ago how no plans of marrige an all , got engaged about 7 days post that convo..(? dude ?? ) , is finally getting married on the 27th , and i am already seeing signs of this return to humanity...lol..end of the crazy times.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Adi , the wildest crazy man of our group is also getting married on the 27th of feb in del , he has been the relationship coucillor of our grp for a long time...and thus responsible for a majority of breakup's ...lol...(mine at least ) , actually am silent on this one....&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;On a serious note...cheers to my pals , and congrats on finding your soulmates! &lt;br the words , its his passion , i mean you can just see beyond the language the man meant each word that he said, moreover , he really believes in wat he speaks and advocates.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The Indian in me asks , will it ever happen that we will have the option of electing someone as stellar , for the options for the country's leadership that i see for the coming elections make me cry...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I love my country , and firmly believe that steered right , we as a nation have potential to rock the world, literally , just that we need someone with passion , with integrity , with the raw balls to take some hard calls , and get our country on the right track , the path of greatness.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Am Human after all , and its like seeing the neighbor Bush, a Republican.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;" id="midArticle_byline"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;" id="midArticle_0"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;       &lt;p style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;"My fellow citizens:&lt;/p&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;" id="midArticle_1"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;       &lt;p style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;I stand here today humbled by the task before us, grateful for the trust you have bestowed, mindful of the sacrifices borne by our ancestors. Our nation is at war, against a far-reaching network of violence and hatred. Our economy is badly weakened, a consequence of greed and irresponsibility on the part of some, but also our collective failure to make hard choices and prepare the nation for a new age. Homes have been lost; jobs shed; businesses shuttered. Our health care is too costly; our schools fail too many; and each day brings further evidence that the ways we use energy strengthen our adversaries and threaten our planet.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;" id="midArticle_5"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;       &lt;p style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;These are the indicators of crisis, subject to data and statistics. Less measurable but no less profound is a sapping of confidence across our land - a nagging fear that America's decline is inevitable, and that the next generation must lower its sights.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;" id="midArticle_6"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;       &lt;p style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Today I say to you that the challenges we face are real. They are serious and they are many. They will not be met easily or in a short span of time. Rather, it has been the risk-takers, the doers, the makers of things - some celebrated but more often men and women obscure in their labor, who have carried us up the long, rugged path toward prosperity and freedom.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;" id="midArticle_11"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;       &lt;p style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;For us, they packed up their few worldly possessions and traveled across oceans in search of a new life.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;" id="midArticle_12"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;       &lt;p style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;For us, they toiled in sweatshops and settled the West; endured the lash of the whip and plowed the hard earth.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;" id="midArticle_13"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;       &lt;p style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;For us, they fought and died, in places like Concord and Gettysburg; Normandy and Khe Sahn.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;" id="midArticle_14"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;       Time and again these men and women struggled and sacrificed and worked till their hands were raw so that we might live a better life. They saw America as bigger than the sum of our individual ambitions; greater than all the differences of birth or wealth or faction. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;p style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;This is the journey we continue today. We remain the most prosperous, powerful nation on Earth. Our workers are no less productive than when this crisis began. Our minds are no less inventive, our goods and services no less needed than they were last week or last month or last year. Our capacity remains undiminished. But our time of standing pat, of protecting narrow interests and putting off unpleasant decisions - that time has surely passed. Starting today, we must pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and begin again the work of remaking America.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;" id="midArticle_0"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;       &lt;p style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;For everywhere we look, there is work to be done. The state of the economy calls for action, bold and swift, and we will act - not only to create new jobs, but to lay a new foundation for growth. We will build the roads and bridges, the electric grids and digital lines that feed our commerce and bind us together. We will restore science to its rightful place, and wield technology's wonders to raise health care's quality and lower its cost. We will harness the sun and the winds and the soil to fuel our cars and run our factories. And we will transform our schools and colleges and universities to meet the demands of a new age. All this we can do. And all this we will do.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;" id="midArticle_1"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;       &lt;p style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Now, there are some who question the scale of our ambitions - who suggest that our system cannot tolerate too many big plans.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;" id="midArticle_2"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;       &lt;p style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Their memories are short. For they have forgotten what this country has already done; what free men and women can achieve when imagination is joined to common purpose, and necessity to courage.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;" id="midArticle_3"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;       &lt;p style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;What the cynics fail to understand is that the ground has shifted beneath them - that the stale political arguments that have consumed us for so long no longer apply. The question we ask today is not whether our government is too big or too small, but whether it works - whether it helps families find jobs at a decent wage, care they can afford, a retirement that is dignified. Where the answer is yes, we intend to move forward. Where the answer is no, programs will end. And those of us who manage the public's dollars will be held to account - to spend wisely, reform bad habits, and do our business in the light of day - because only then can we restore the vital trust between a people and their government.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;" id="midArticle_4"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;       &lt;p style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Nor is the question before us whether the market is a force for good or ill. Its power to generate wealth and expand freedom is unmatched, but this crisis has reminded us that without a watchful eye, the market can spin out of control - and that a nation cannot prosper long when it favors only the prosperous. The success of our economy has always depended not just on the size of our Gross Domestic Product, but on the reach of our prosperity; on our ability to extend opportunity to every willing heart - not out of charity, but because it is the surest route to our common good.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;" id="midArticle_5"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;       &lt;p style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;As for our common defense, we reject as false the choice between our safety and our ideals. Our Founding Fathers, faced with perils we can scarcely imagine, drafted a charter to assure the rule of law and the rights of man, a charter expanded by the blood of generations. Those ideals still light the world, and we will not give them up for expedience's sake. And so to all other peoples and governments who are watching today, from the grandest capitals to the small village where my father was born: know that America is a friend of each nation and every man, woman, and child who seeks a future of peace and dignity, and that we are ready to lead once more.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;" id="midArticle_6"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;       &lt;p style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;" id="midArticle_7"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;       &lt;p style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;We are the keepers of this legacy. Guided by these principles once more, we can meet those new threats that demand even greater effort - even greater cooperation and understanding between nations. We will begin to responsibly leave Iraq to its people, and forge a hard-earned peace in Afghanistan. With old friends and former foes, we will work tirelessly to lessen the nuclear threat, and roll back the specter of a warming planet. To those who cling to power through corruption and deceit and the silencing of dissent, know that you are on the wrong side of history; but that we will extend a hand if you are willing to unclench your fist.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;" id="midArticle_10"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;       &lt;p style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;To the people of poor nations, we pledge to work alongside you to make your farms flourish and let clean waters flow; to nourish starved bodies and feed hungry minds. And to those nations like ours that enjoy relative plenty, we say we can no longer afford indifference to suffering outside our borders; nor can we consume the world's resources without regard to effect. For the world has changed, and we must change with it.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;" id="midArticle_11"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;       &lt;p style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;As we consider the road that unfolds before us, we remember with humble gratitude those brave Americans who, at this very hour, patrol far-off deserts and distant mountains. type='text'>Slumdog Millionaire</title><content type='html'>I wonder why it took a foreigner to come and make a movie , about a theme amply illustrated in bollywood , to get us international recognition?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I saw the movie a few days back , and its edgy feel as well as cinematography is commendable , yet i wonder why none of our guys could capture those key moments , that make this film stand out.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Do we loose perspective when we are in the frame ourselves , possibly , because a third person point of view , and thus his treatment of the script seems to have made all the difference.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I feel happy that Rehman won the Golden Globe , yet amused by this talk of Indian industry getting its due recognition , for its known that Q&amp;amp;A , the book which is the basis for this movie , was floating around in bombay for quite a while , and it had no takers.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Even after Danny Boyle finished the filming , they had trouble finding Distributor's , so much for the foresight of visionaries of my industry , its only after Fox Searchlight and Warner brother's got involved that it saw the light of the day.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I accept that part of the crew as well as the plot is Indian , but thats about it , The Producer , Director , Male lead , are all foreigner's , as well as the exhibitor's , so how is it an achievement for Indian Film Industry i don't quite understand.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I wish in the near future , we make a film , whole and sole indian, which makes sense, critically and commercially , and that it goes to win the international accoldes, and only after that , should we talk about recognition.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I think Indian Media Industry in principle.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Your life , and your destiny , will take you just as seriously as you take it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;its a vice-versa kinda equation.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;you can replace the word life or destiny with any other word of your choice .&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;take for example , success , or say your chances of suceeding at something.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The more seriously you take it , the more importance you will assign to it , along with more time, and thus more effort. This in turn, ensures that you become worthy of the entity you desire to attain , or belong to , and thus success.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This logic , by the way holds true for even bit for the Pune leg of the same, and i do hope that my city responds.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;i am extremely amused by some experiences i had while organizing this, touched by the tremendous effort and enthusiasm put in by everyone involved , and amazed at the callous and laid back attitude of some very special fucker's we had to interact with...may god bless you with some sense of belonging towards this great nation , and some brains maybe...yeah.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The amazing spectrum of souls and mindsets that coexist here is miraculous...seriously.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Here is a prayer for all of you for whom we are doing this..may your soul rest in peace and may we avenge you , for i hope your sacrifice's were not in vain.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Every blog I see , mentions Mumbai...i hope all these people come out and join in the collective effort , to make a greater difference.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Lets come Alive.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Be the Change you want to type='text'>The peace rally('s)</title><content type='html'>So after the march ystday , got to connect with sm awsome ppl like peter sir and dipika ,who have been activist's for a very long time , and have working on relevant social causes in various arena's.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The most amazing thing about the march ystday was that there was'nt any one group or person organizing it , it was rather different people came in with their own sets and joined it to form the march, and yet it was perfectly synchronised.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;10 of us who were mainly assocaited with the logistics of  the  whole thing have decided to get together and make a social forum so as to ensure continued efforts for this cause , and other relevant social causes.The forum is basically to organize where required , and give support  to the existing groups and causes involved in social work.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;There is a Global peace March scheduled on the 10th condemning the mumbai attacks and terrorism, happening across all major cities in India and some locations abroad.We are trying to organize the Pune leg for the same.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I wish we Indians come together on this and make our presence , and our anger felt, for the Government and the decision maker's have to realize that they have been sleeping for far too long, and this country just won't take this laid back attitude anymore.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I now believe in this concept of being a proactive citizen, making a difference by doing my job, shouldering my responsibility, and making my voice id="SPELLING_ERROR_0"&gt;abt&lt;/span&gt; 26/11 , our political leadership is crap, each one of us wanted to be involves in something personally, &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1"&gt;basically&lt;/span&gt; just to express....release the pent up anger...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In this span of 5 hours, i learnt and understood a lot about my fellow &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2"&gt;indians&lt;/span&gt;....&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;and there is a lot that i want to and am going to say about this,,,,..... &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3"&gt;bt&lt;/span&gt; &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4"&gt;nt&lt;/span&gt; &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_5"&gt;nw&lt;/span&gt;....&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;too many random thoughts, anger, and emotions in my head....&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;so will write in detail &lt;span ...we are essentially a very patriotic lot, which i saw today... even if v need a jolt once in a while to kick start that spirit...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;its heart warming seeing a bunch of 16 yr &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_9"&gt;olds&lt;/span&gt; organize a rally, some 80 yr &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_10"&gt;olds&lt;/span&gt; walking with us all the way, and some 5 yr &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_11"&gt;olds&lt;/span&gt; being explained by their mommies why they should be a part of it....&lt;br Anyways...enjoy this great speech.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;center&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/center&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;center&gt;&lt;h3&gt;&lt;u&gt;Mary Schmich's "Wear Sunscreen Speech"&lt;/u&gt;&lt;/h3&gt;&lt;/center&gt; Ladies and gentlemen of the class of '97.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Wear Sunscreen.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If I could offer you only one tip for the future, sunscreen would be it. The long-term benefits of sunscreen have been proved by scientists, whereas the rest of my advice has no basis more reliable than my own meandering experience. I will dispense this advice now.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Enjoy the power and beauty of your youth. Oh, never mind. You will not understand the power and beauty of your youth until they've faded. But trust me, in 20 years, you'll look back at photos of  yourself and recall in a way you can't grasp now how much possibility lay before you and how fabulous you really looked. You are not as fat as you imagine.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Don't worry about the future. Or worry, but know that worrying is as effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing bubble gum. The real troubles in your life are apt to be things that never crossed your worried mind, the kind that blindside you at 4 pm on some idel Tuesday. Do one thing every day that scares you.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Sing.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Don't be reckless with other people's hearts. Don't put up with people who are reckless with yours.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Floss.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Don't waste your time on jealousy. Sometimes you're ahead, sometimes you're behind. The race is long and, in the end, it's only with yourself. Remember compliments you receive. Forget the insults. If you succeed in doing this, tell me how. Keep your old love letters. Throw away your old bank statements.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Stretch.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Don't feel guilty if you don't know what you want to do with your life. The most interesting people I know didn't know at 22 what they wanted to do with their lives. Some of the most interesting 40-year- olds I know still don't. Get plenty of calcium. Be kind to your knees. You'll miss them when they're gone. Mayber you'll marry, maybe you won't. Maybe you'll have children, maybe you won't. Maybe you'll divorce at 40, maybe you'll dance the funky chicken on your 75th wedding anniversary. Whatever you do, don't congratulate yourself too much, or berate yourself either. Your choices are half chance. So are everybody's else's.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Enjoy your body. Use it every way you can. Dont' be afraid of it or of what other people think of it. It's the greatest instrument you'll ever own.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Dance, even if you have nowhere to do it but your living room.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Read the directions, even if you don't follow them.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Do not read beauty magazines. They will only make you feel ugly.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Get to know your parents. You never know when they'll be gone for good. Be nice to your siblings. They're your best link to your past and the people most likely to stick with you in the future.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Understand that friends come and go, but with a precious few you should hold on. Work hard to bridge the gaps in geography and lifestyle, because the older you get, the more you need the people who knew you when you were young.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Live in New York City once, but leave before it makes you hard. Live in Northern California once, but leave before it makes you soft. Travel.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Accept certain inalienable truths. Prices will rise. Politicians will philander. You, too will get old. And when you do, you'll fantasize that when you were young, prices were reasonable, politicians were noble, and children respected their elders.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Respect your elders.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Don't expect anyone else to support you. Maybe you have a trust fund. Maybe you'll have a wealthy spouse. But you never know when either one might run out.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Don't mess too much with your hair or by the time you're 40 it will Look 85. Be careful whose advice you buy, but be patient with those who supply it. Advice is a form of nostalgia. What i felt is, that the crux ( The Law of Attraction) , would be effective only if combined with some hard core effort.Its not that its not well put, i mean its a very well written book , but then , its a concept we have all known all along, just that maybe reading it in so much clarity helps in putting it into clearer prespective.The power of positive thinking is a very effective tool , but the role of thoughts is to lead to positive action, without which it is rendered irrelevant, so think positive but back it up with the required effort.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The whole Philosophy of the Art of Living, as stated bt Epictetus, is based on just one concept,&lt;br /&gt;The Sphere of Influence, it says that in life , one must never try to inflence things outside one's own sphere of influence, for doing so will lead to conflict, and thereon more negetive energies.&lt;br /&gt;So what is your sphere of influence? everything starting with your...your thoughts, your words, your deeds, your actions, your idea's, basically your life....think about it...it'll make sense, any and everything above and beyond this outside, and any attempt to influence it will only  lead to misery.think, if there is a problem, concerning you and someone, what part of it is your control,&lt;br /&gt; ......wat u feel, do , express about it...not the other person's point of view or actions....so do the best you can within your sphere, an leave the rest to the universe.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;there is another point of view, the kind of vibrations(through thoughts and deeds) you create in your sphere will act as a magnet, and attract similar vibrations from all around, basically the universe.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This is where these two ideologies are related....&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My personal point of view is right or wrong is a matter of perception, what may be right for me maybe wrong for you, so how does the universe decide on it......on intention.thats the key...do wat you really believe, and do so with clear intentions, nothing will ever go wrong, on the other hand, the best of the deeds with wrong intentions will, no matter what.there is this beautiful quote from parsi scripture, which says :&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Clarity of thought,&lt;br /&gt;Purity on intention,&lt;br /&gt;Mixed with conviction and passion,&lt;br /&gt;will always lead default.&lt;br /&gt;About the other, its our own choice.&lt;br /&gt;And it is this choice , that decides which quadrant of time we exist in, think,&lt;br /&gt;with one foot in the past , and one in the present, the whole existence is leaning into the past , and carrying the weight of all the dead issue's, of people, of things, that we left behind,and logically, should not matter.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Clear that slate, forgive, forget ,erase, delete... for thats the only way u can detach, and move forward.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Its all connected in a cosmic sense, wat i am is dierctly influenced by wat i was, and wat i will be , is based upon wat i am doing today.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Do your best in the time, the present.&lt;br /&gt;Past is gone, future will take care of itself.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have known this concept since a long time, directly mention is the Bhagvad Gita, but it started making so much sense recently, its funny how life provides us live type='text'>Associating , ppl and sync</title><content type='html'>i always feel that we were intended to be ,and remain, as we were at the time of our birth, very alone in the midst of five billion of our species.&lt;br /&gt;what am i trying to say? very difficult to put these thoughts in an organised prespective, for the thought process is so fluid and consistently shifting.&lt;br /&gt;Of the millions of ppl that exist surrounding us,we choose a few that we want to associate with, at varying levels of intensity, or at the other end, life throws some at us, but it is extremely important to take a moment and analyse, that do v actually hv some sync with the person in question?&lt;br /&gt;I think the world is a large jigsaw puzzle, and v are all small pieces, each essential to the whole picture, yet amazingly unique in our own ways,and that u just can't take any two randomly, and expect them to fit. This is turn explains why some times the very best of ppl, with the best of intentions, don' just fit together.&lt;br /&gt;where is this leading? i myself don't know, am just typing as i think.......bt the idea is to say that it is necessary to analyse and be with ppl who bring out the best in you,and have an inherent sync with you.i mean just think about it , have u ever noticed that with some ppl u r so comfortable, yet with some, who u think r ur closest, u r perpetually on an edge?analyse this thought,u'll be surprised at the outcome.&lt;br /&gt;personally to me, this point became relevant after i noticed it in some of Osho's writings about being with someone who makes your soul come alive, and further developed when i went back in time , and analysed some very painful moments of the past.&lt;br /&gt;i think the idea is that of the countless ppl around u , u had to choose those very few u wanted to call ur own, take the pain to choose those who like u , and who r capable of being liked by you, for who they are....&lt;br /&gt;relationships are like speaking a language, if i am conversant in russian, and you in german, and there exists no common ground for us to communicate....wat r we gonna talk about?and wat level are we gonna connect at? the same goes with ppl, there has to be a sync, that connection, to u to connect at that amazin level.....and if there is'nt, be assured that sooner or later , u will realize that this one relation , that u assumed was special, is like the countless other meaningless  one's that we accumilate , over time, based on all remembering all those moments, esp. the little one's , that u shared, it is abt going to that old place, where u first met, an thinking of her....it is about the physical pain, when u search her
